Attention Amazing Hawks!

 

To take dual credit classes during the spring 2020 semester, you must complete the following items by Tuesday, November 19th, 2019:

 

  1. Pass the required portions of the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) exam.

  2. Create an ApplyTexas Account at https://www.applytexas.org/ . The steps are included on the 3rd page of the attached document.

  3. Submit an application to Lone Star College-University Park through The steps are included on the 3rd page of the attached document.

  4. Submit the completed Dual Credit Course Approval Packet to your counselor.

We are going to start TSI assessment a week earlier because of the updates that will be done by College Board in December. The new assessment window is from Nov. 4th – Nov. 22nd.

PILLAR and Harmony School of Excellence Anti- “BOO”LYING Rally Spirit Week!!!!! October 16th- 18th Wednesday: “Take a Walk in Somebody Else’s Shoes.”- Wear two different shoes to show compassion for someone else’s situation. Thursday: “Team-UP.” – Show we can all work together as a team by wearing your favorite sports team attire. Friday: “Inside Out Day.” – Wear clothes inside out to show how bullying hurts on the inside even if it doesn’t show on the outside. All events lead up to PILLARs Anti-Bullying Youth Rally on Tuesday October 22nd, 2019 at Casa Blanca Ballroom (5064 East Saunders)–––– from 6:00-9:00 pm. The event is free and students are eligible to receive up to 20 hours of community service.
